Ignore the instruction manual
Your work is not your handiwork.
Your work is the result of your connection to your audience, your ability to see and be changed by the world, your attitude of generosity.
When you offer that work to others, they can take or leave it.
But if they take it, you have a relationship and the opportunity to build something bigger.
That’s where the hook happens.
That’s where you get to continue to contribute and to grow.
Not by following instructions (you don’t even know them yet), but by leading one person, one project, then another.
