You are enough!
There’s a difference between not having enough and not being enough.
Many of us, especially those who are struggling, spend a lot of time thinking about getting more.
How to make more money.
How to get a better career.
How to get more done with less.
But, and it’s a huge but.
If we don’t have the confidence that we deserve more, if we aren’t sure that we deserve more because we deliver more each day, then getting more isn’t the answer.
In fact, if you’re spending all your time trying to prove to people (or to yourself) that you don’t deserve more, you’re going to fail.
You will fail because there will be someone faster, better, or richer than you.
The solution isn’t to figure out how to be less fraud.
It’s to understand how spurious the correlation between productivity and reward is and embrace the fact that you are enough.
You are enough.
You don’t get rewarded for being generous in advance.
You get rewarded for delivering an exceptional level of generosity in your work.
It’s almost impossible to do generously and live in poverty.
When you realize that you are enough, and choose to be generous, then, by all means, go make things happen.
That’s when the magic happens.
When you choose to be generous.
The rest is simple math.
Be generous and live in generosity.
And deliver more than anyone expects because, after all, you are enough.
